Client : St. David’s Episcopal Church
Project Name : St. David's Episcopal Church - Phased Improvements
Location : Radnor, PA
Architect : Mark B. Thompson & Associates
Description : This multi-phase project is meant to expand and modernize the existing historically significant church. Phase I involved the interior fit-out of a new choir rehearsal space. Phases II & III, recently completed, involved multiple renovations and additions: a new two-story corridor addition; a new commercial-grade kitchen; and improvements to the existing Parish House. The most significant addition was the vertical expansion of the Fellowship Hall, which required constructing a third floor on the existing two-story building. We completed the new third floor roof – which involved the installation of massive steel beams – over the original second floor roof before demolishing the second floor roof from the inside.
